Responding to their unique environmental surroundings, the college’s residential buildings achieve energy-efficient performance while maintaining a comfortable and beautiful space for students. Architects at KPF utilized elements of climate-responsive building to achieve Bard College’s goal of Passive House certification, one of the most rigorous standards for a building’s energy efficiency.
