KPF: Material Innovation at Burrard Exchange

Burrard Exchange is a loft-like office tower that uses biophilic elements and hybrid mass timber to stand out from its context, distinct in its structural materiality and aesthetic motif. Implementing a material bound to Vancouver’s historical identity, architects and designers at KPF prioritized a strong sense of place for the tower, while minimizing carbon emissions through the use of a bio-based material.
